Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is Kumo?

Kumo is a cloud platform built in Indonesia for Southeast Asia. You can deploy apps and background jobs, rent VPS instances, attach persistent volumes, host container images and language packages, and run CI jobs on Kumo Runner — all billed in Rupiah, pay only for what you run.

Where is my data hosted?

Our infrastructure is located in Indonesia. Your data stays in-region unless you move it yourself. See the Privacy Policy for details on how we handle personal data.

Who can sign up?

Anyone aged 18 or over, or any business, can create an account with an email address. Accounts are governed by our Terms of Service.

Billing & Payments

What currency do you bill in?

Everything is priced and charged in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Reference prices in USD on the pricing page are for comparison only.

How does billing work?

Kumo is prepaid. You top up your balance, and each resource deducts from it as it runs — per minute for compute and storage, per run for jobs. The Billing page in your dashboard shows your current balance, every charge, and a per-product breakdown.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Top-ups are processed by licensed Indonesian payment providers and support QRIS, virtual account bank transfer, e-wallets, and cards, depending on the provider. Kumo never stores your card or bank details.

Is there a minimum top-up?

Yes. The current minimum is shown in the top-up dialog in your billing dashboard before you confirm the amount.

Do I get an invoice or receipt?

Every successful top-up appears in Top-up History with its payment reference, and every charge is listed on the Billing page. Need a formal invoice for your company? Email support@kumo.run with your billing details.

What happens when my balance runs out?

Running resources are suspended when your balance can no longer cover them. Top up to resume; your data and configuration are kept for a grace period before removal.

Refunds

Can I get a refund on a top-up?

Top-ups are non-refundable — the balance stays on your account and never expires while the account is active. The exception is a payment that went wrong: duplicate charges or a debit that never reached your balance are refunded to the original payment method. Read the full Refund Policy.

I was charged twice. What should I do?

Send the transaction ID from your payment receipt to support@kumo.run or open a support ticket. We acknowledge within 2 business days and refund verified duplicates within 14 business days.

Support

How do I contact support?

Our support email and business address are on the Contact page. Customers can also open a ticket from Support in the dashboard.

Do you offer an uptime guarantee?

We offer a 99.5% uptime SLA for our infrastructure. Eligible downtime is compensated with service credit to your balance; see Section 7 of the Terms of Service.
