Important Notice

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the Kumo platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using the Kumo platform ("Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

Kumo reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the platform. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Kumo is a decentralized cloud platform that connects two types of users:

  • Deployers: Users who deploy containerized applications for development and staging workloads
  • Providers: Users who contribute compute resources to host containerized applications

Important: Kumo is currently optimized for development and staging environments only. We recommend against using the Service for production workloads at this time.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing:

  • Your full name (minimum 6 characters, maximum 100 characters)
  • A valid email address
  • A secure password (minimum 6 characters, maximum 50 characters), or
  • Sign in using your Google account via Google OAuth

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Ensuring the information you provide is accurate and current

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Services for Deployers

4.1 Deployment Requirements

As a Deployer, you must:

  • Ensure your Docker images are publicly accessible (Docker Hub, GHCR, or compatible registry)
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not deploy malicious code, malware, or content that violates intellectual property rights
  • Maintain sufficient account balance for your deployments

4.2 Pricing and Payment

Kumo uses a pay-as-you-go pricing model based on:

  • Template size (CPU and memory specifications)
  • Node tier (Eco, Standard, Plus, Pro, Turbo)
  • Usage duration (hourly and monthly rates available)

Payment Methods: We support various Indonesian payment methods, with a current focus on QRIS.

Account Limits: Minimum top-up is Rp5,000 and maximum is Rp500,000. Unused credits remain in your account until used.

5. Services for Providers

5.1 Hardware Requirements

To become a Provider, you must have:

  • A machine running Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04
  • Minimum specifications: 1 CPU core, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB disk space
  • A stable internet connection

5.2 Provider Earnings

Revenue Split: Providers keep 80% of all revenue generated. Kumo retains a 20% platform fee to cover:

  • Infrastructure maintenance
  • Payment processing
  • Customer support
  • Ongoing platform development

Payouts: Earnings are calculated daily and credited to your reward account. You can withdraw earnings at any time, subject to minimum (Rp100,000) and maximum (Rp1,000,000) withdrawal limits.

Bank Information: Withdrawals require a valid Indonesian bank account from supported banks (BCA, MANDIRI, BNI, BRI, CIMB, PERMATA, DANAMON, BTPN, JAGO, SEABANK).

5.3 Provider Responsibilities

As a Provider, you agree to:

  • Maintain your node's availability and internet connection
  • Keep your provider agent software updated
  • Not interfere with deployed containers or access user data
  • Accept the automated benchmark results that determine your node's tier

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You must not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Engage in spam, phishing, or fraudulent activities
  • Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the platform
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the platform
  • Use the Service for cryptocurrency mining without explicit authorization

7. Service Availability

Kumo strives to provide reliable service but does not guarantee 100% uptime. You acknowledge that:

  • Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues
  • Provider nodes may go offline, causing deployment failover (some downtime may occur)
  • Platform features are under active development and may change

8. Termination

8.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Contacting customer support at [email protected]
  • Withdrawing any remaining earnings (for Providers)
  • Removing your nodes from the platform (for Providers)

8.2 Termination by Kumo

Kumo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Breach these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Compromise the security of the platform
  • Violate the Acceptable Use Policy

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kumo shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Downtime or service interruptions
  • Actions of third-party providers
  • Unauthorized access to your account

Kumo's total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

Kumo's Property: The Kumo platform, including all software, designs, and trademarks, is owned by Kumo and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of any applications, code, or data you deploy to the platform. By using the Service, you grant Kumo a license to host, run, and operate your applications as necessary to provide the Service.

Provider Resources: You retain ownership of your hardware. Kumo does not claim any ownership of your physical equipment.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indonesia.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Kumo regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
